Topshelf Asia specialized in importing and growing brands for select international beverages in China. Brands such as Brewdog, Estrella Galicia, Hunters relied on the company to manage supply chains in tier 1 and 2 cities in China. At some point Topshelf Asia was one of the leading craft beer and cider importers in China. Topshelf Asia approached us through our Hong Kong studio to develop their identity and website.
Topshelf Asia were about to launch a new craft beer in China and needed a website to target consumers. The primary target at the time was expats and foreign-run bars in tier 1 and 2 cities in China. We held meetings in Hong Kong and Guangzhou to design the new brand identity for the beer range online. This included designing the company logo, cards, illustrations, visual identity guide to support the beer ranges, packaging, as well as the website.

Project Highlights

Logo Print
We also crafted the company’s logo for print, colorless to enable Topshelf managers to quickly integrate correct print identity.

Business Cards
It was a complex and messy challenge but we managed to pull off designing bi-lingual business cards for Topshelf in China.

Packaging
Our product brand identity and packaging designs were utilized in full for multiple brands. We recommended print companies and oversaw the creation of packaging from initiation to final print.

Premium Beer
Was a pleasure taking long flights to meet Gary Brown of Topshelf Asia and crafting together an identity of his adventure in China. Entering new markets is always challenging and through our work for Topshelf we got to experience this during the print management stage of the project.
