Job description

LORDEYS is looking for a full-time senior php developer to drive and support the delivery of our products. Senior-level software developer position to work on internal and customer facing web and mobile applications written primarily in PHP, JavaScript, HTML & CSS. Modifications and enhancements to existing applications as well as construction, testing and deployment of new applications. As part of the interview process, applicants are expected to submit a link to a functional demo of an app they built as well as provide samples of code from that application. Applications demonstrating use of vendor APIs, finely tuned data schemas & Cloud environment deployments are a plus.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday / 40 Weekly

Qualifications

5+ years of PHP developing experience
5+ years of MVC framework experience
BA Degree in computer science or equivalent
Language – HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery/Angular JS preferred)
DataBase – MySQL , Redshift
Operating System – Linux (knowledge of package INI configurations and basic networking required)
CakePHP or a similar MVC framework
GIT, SVN, CVS experience
AWS experience a plus
Ability to deliver on time and on budget in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities

Our senior PHP developers primary functions:

Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance + documentation of all modifications.
Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, or resolve customer problems.
Support project manager, testers, and designers in delivering our services.

The main responsibility will be converting design mockups and wireframes into beautiful, responsive, modern websites. Our developers and designers take the lead on their projects, so a potential candidate must be skilled at managing budgets and timelines efficiently. We look for ambitious individuals who are skilled at follow-through. Your passion for good design and inner drive matter a lot to us, but we also need someone with a demonstrable strong grasp of CSS, HTML, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, MVC, Bootstrap, and WordPress. Sass, Git, and e-commerce experience is a major plus.

Qualifications

1-5 years experiencing working on web related projects.

Experience reading and writing JSON and XML.

Experience with Photoshop and InDesign a plus.
Experience working with Macs a plus.
Experience with IonicJS a plus.

Responsibilities

The Front End Web Developer will primarily work with the Development and Project Manager to create web apps, hybrid mobile applications, and websites using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.

The Front End Web Developers primary function:

Create digital deliverables including sites and apps by turning detailed designs into interactive HTML.
Troubleshoot JavaScript to fix and improve functionality.
Create CSS3 interactive animations.
Create HTML newsletters and microsites.
Reports to Development and Project Manager for direction and work assignments
Interact with Account Manager and Design teams.

Work with UX researchers to design and observe user studies and translate research findings into insights and design improvements.
